Right now my boyfriend and I are on a three-week trip traveling around the US visiting my family and friends. Needless to say, Luka and I are having the most incredible trip! We are truly savoring every moment we have with everyone we have been so far away from. So, this week is all about soaking up the times that make you happiest 🙂
Things that made you happy this week…
For my short little post this week I’m basically just really, really ,REALLY happy and I want to share that happiness with all of you! The times when we are filled with so much happiness that we might explode, are the time we need to find a way to savor those feelings. Most of the time there never is a perfect way to describe this kind of happiness or truly capture it in pictures, social media posts, or in journal entries. You just have to experience it and soak it all in. And that, is exactly what I have been trying to do this week, and the weeks to come on this wonderful trip being surround by some of the most important people in my life.
I hope all of you are experiencing an incredible week as well. Whether it is your normal work week, or you are on a special vacation, there are always things that give us happiness each and every week. (even in challenging periods of our lives, little specks of happiness can be sprinkled about <3)
As a way to help ourselves find optimism in hard times, or as a way to capture the really really good times I have a simple little activity for us all 🙂
The Happy List
Keep a list of all the little (or big) moments that made you feel happy this week. Take a few minutes before going to bed or when you wake up in the morning to reflect on the day and what things just made you feel great. This can be done when you are in the middle of fun vacation with friends, or during a typical week. You can do this as a way to remember events that took place, as a way to find a little happiness when it seems to be lacking in your life, or as a way to realize what you need more of in life. ❤
Here are our “Happy List’s” from this past week 🙂
As always, I’m hoping this brings a little positivity to you as you start the week. Find ways to be kind to your self and take an extra minute to sip your coffee in the morning, sing your favorite song as you get ready in the morning, eat one of the homemade cookies in the break room, do what you can to savor the little moments that bring you joy!
